Anthropocene FACTS
The large and impactful human-induced changes in the last century make it necessary for educational institutions to develop new interdisciplinary courses that address these issues on a massive scale and provide students with a critical and systemic view of them. The demand for educational content (especially university courses) that would enable such training is growing everywhere. In fact many university colleagues are ill equipped to cover the broad interdisciplinary content required to offer comprehensive course material. The Anthropocene FACTS project is a european scale projet aiming at addressing this shortcoming: See the Global objectives of the Anthropocene FACTS project.
Actuality
Since Spring School 2022:
- We shared the teaching materials used during that week;
- We opened discussions about formalizing an academic community - and associated tools - to facilitate and support the implementation of this kind of curriculum in universities. See demos here and here;
- We are organizing a workshop for academics to make the pedagogical content of the spring school more easily accessible to novices.
